Terms of Use
Last updated: Oct 15, 2026 · Operated by FCB1, LLC
1. Who we are and what this covers
The FANGORIA Digital Archive (the "Archive") is operated by FCB1, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, 2566 Shallowford Road, Suite 104-180, Atlanta, GA 30345 ("FANGORIA," "we," "us"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Archive at fangoarchive.com.
By creating an account, redeeming an access code, or using the Archive, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Archive.
2. What the Archive is
The Archive reproduces issues of FANGORIA and GOREZONE in their original published page layout and context, as a digital edition of those collective works.
The Archive is provided through an online reader and, where we make them available, downloadable PDF editions governed by a separate licence.
The Archive is a living edition. Issues, pages and articles may be added, altered or removed at any time. We do not warrant that any particular content will remain available.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Archive reproduces adult horror publications.
Access is personal to you. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person. You may not share, sell, transfer or publish your credentials or access codes.
Backer access codes. The code supplied with your pledge to create or unlock your account is single-use, personal and non-transferable. It may not be sold, auctioned or published, and we may void a code we reasonably believe has been shared or resold.
Archive Codes printed in the Compendium are a feature of the book. They travel with the physical copy, so if you give or sell your book, the codes go with it. They unlock additional Archive content and do not by themselves grant an account.
4. What you may do
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and view the Archive for your own personal, non-commercial use, through the interfaces we provide.
You may make incidental personal-use copies, such as a single screenshot for your own reference. Printing is not permitted.
PDF editions are governed by a separate licence, presented and accepted at the time of download. These Terms continue to apply alongside it.
5. What you may not do
You may not:
- Access the Archive by automated means of any kind, including crawlers, scrapers, bots, headless browsers, scripts or any other non-human agent.
- Download content systematically or in bulk, whether by automated means or manually.
- Circumvent, disable or attempt to defeat any access control, signed URL, session token, rate limit or other technical measure.
- Access the Archive other than through the interfaces we provide, including by calling media or data endpoints directly.
- Compile, assemble or convert Archive content into any aggregated file, including without limitation PDF, CBR, CBZ, EPUB or any other ebook, comic-reader or document format.
- Extract, separate, reproduce or redistribute any individual article, column, photograph or illustration apart from the complete issue in which it originally appeared.
- Republish, redistribute, sell, licence, lend or make available any Archive content to any other person, by any means.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright notice, trademark notice, attribution or other rights-management information.
- Use the Archive, or any content in it, to train, fine-tune, evaluate or benchmark any machine learning or artificial intelligence system.
- Use the Archive for any commercial purpose.
Clause (f) exists to protect the contributors whose work appears in these issues, and because the Archive is published as complete issues rather than as a database of separable articles.
6. Rights in the content
FANGORIA and GOREZONE, and the issues reproduced in the Archive, are protected by copyright. Individual contributions remain the copyright of their respective authors and photographers, reproduced here as part of the collective works in which they first appeared.
Individual contributions to FANGORIA and GOREZONE remain the copyright of their respective authors, photographers and illustrators, reproduced here as part of the collective works in which they first appeared.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without refund, if you breach these Terms.
Repeat infringers. We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
You acknowledge that a breach of Section 5 would cause irreparable harm for which damages are an inadequate remedy, and that we are entitled to seek injunctive relief in addition to any other remedy.
10. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Archive is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Archive will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that any particular issue, page or feature will be available at any given time. This does not affect Section 13, which says what we commit to about how long access lasts.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor our members, officers, employees or agents will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Archive, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Archive and these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for access to the Archive, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
What this section does not limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Changes
Effective date and version are dated at the top of this page.
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email your account address. Minor changes, such as correcting a typo, updating a contact address or clarifying wording without changing your rights or obligations, take effect when posted.
If you use the Archive after a material change takes effect, you are agreeing to the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Archive. A PDF edition you have already downloaded remains yours to keep and read under the licence it was issued with, as described in Section 13.
A change to these Terms will not:
a. shorten the notice period in Section 13 for anyone who held an account before the change;
b. revoke your licence to read a PDF edition you had already downloaded; or
c. apply retroactively to a dispute that had already arisen between us before the change took effect.
Your obligation to delete a superseded PDF edition when we issue a replacement, under Section 4 of the PDF Edition Licence, is part of the licence under which that edition was issued. It continues to apply and is not affected by this Section.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.
13. How long access lasts
We will keep the Archive available for as long as we reasonably can, and we intend that to be indefinitely.
If we ever have to discontinue the Archive, we will give you at least 90 days notice by email to your account address and by notice in the Archive.
The PDF edition is how we make your access durable. Once you have downloaded it, it is yours to keep and read under the PDF Edition Licence, whether or not the Archive remains online.
14. Indemnification
What this covers. If a third party brings a claim against us because of something you did, you will defend us against it and cover our losses, including reasonable legal fees. This applies to claims arising from:
a. your redistribution, publication or sharing of Archive content or a PDF edition, in breach of Section 5 or the PDF Edition Licence;
b. your use of Archive content in a way that infringes the copyright, moral rights, trademark, privacy or publicity rights of any contributor or other person;
c. your use of Archive content to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine learning or artificial intelligence system;
d. your circumvention of any access control or technical measure protecting the Archive; or
e. a knowing material misrepresentation in any notice or counter-notice you send us under Section 8.
This section does not apply to any claim arising from our own acts or omissions, from the content we chose to publish in the Archive, or from our own handling of your information. If you are a consumer, this section applies only to the extent permitted by the consumer protection law of your country of residence, and nothing in it affects your statutory rights.
We will tell you promptly about any claim we want you to cover, and we will not settle a claim in a way that imposes an obligation on you without your consent. We may take control of the defence using counsel of our choosing, at your expense. You will cooperate with us.
This section survives termination of your account.
15. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.
16. Electronic communications
You consent to receive notices and communications from us electronically, at the address associated with your account.
17. Third-party links and content
The Archive may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for them.
18. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the PDF Edition Licence, are the entire agreement between us about the Archive. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
19. Accessibility
We want the Archive to be usable by everyone. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact archive@fangoria.com.
